Diffuse Parenchymal Lung Disease
Diffuse Parenchymal Lung Diseases
Diffuse Parenchymal Lung Diseases (DPLD) encompasses a variety of lung diseases that cause inflammation and/or scarring of the tissue and architecture of the lungs. Within the Pulmonary Department, the section of DLPD has broad experience in managing and investigating these diseases. We are focused on evaluating and treating patients with DPLD as well as investigating potential therapies in order to offer cutting edge treatments. Within this section we have five subsections with highly trained and experienced physicians to best match each patient with the appropriate clinician. The subsections include General Interstitial Lung Diseases, Sarcoidosis, Rheumatic Lung Diseases, Rare Lung Diseases and the newest subsection, Occupational Lung Diseases. We feel that this structure allows us to offer the best patient care and research to continue to be a top tier program in the world of DPLD.
