Conference objectives:

  • Recognize the clinical issues and complications specific to women facing surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and other treatments.
  • Understand the specific concerns facing a women diagnosed with cancer and identify nursing interventions that can assist cancer patients.
  • Identify members of the Hematology-Oncology team and how they approach care-planning for patients with gynecological and breast cancers.
  • Understanding metastatic breast cancer as a “chronic illness” and options for ongoing treatment and addressing psychosocial concerns.
  • Obtain a perspective on Jewish women facing a cancer diagnosis and identify resources and support staff who can assist in resolving these concerns.
  • Review survivorship considerations for patients and care planning models for long term adjustment
  • Identify cancer patients who would benefit from creative art and music therapy in the outpatient setting to decrease isolation and improve coping skills.

Credit Guidelines
Attendees must stay for the entire program. Partial continuing education credit will not be given.

  • Registration due by November 23, 2019
  • There will be registration the day of the conference
  • Registration money can be refunded if postmarked before November 15, 2019
  • Cancellations postmarked after November 15, 2019, will have a $25.00 (USD) cancellation fee deducted from your refund. Written notification of your cancellation is required in order to process your refund. No refunds issued after November 18, 2019.
