Overview

This workshop blends lecture and simulation with standardized patients allowing learners to practice therapeutic communication skills in a realistic yet safe environment.

Conference Objectives:

  • Learner will demonstrate therapeutic communication with a patient with substance use disorder.
  • Learner will describe signs and symptoms of schizophrenia.
  • Learner will demonstrate effective limit setting for the patient who attempts to use manipulation.
