Blood Sugar Control

2017 – 2019

The epidemic of diabetes mellitus is of great concern. Institute physicians closely monitor the care of patients with diabetes. Optimizing blood sugar control helps patients lower their risk of serious complications of diabetes such as heart attacks and strokes. Glycemic control for patients ages 18 to 75 is reported. The percentage of patients with diabetes whose glucose is adequately controlled (hemoglobin A1c < 8%) is reported as well as the percentage of patients with poor control (hemoglobin A1c ≥ 9%).
