Overview

Overview

Pediatric patients with implantable cardiac devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators receive comprehensive care through this clinic, which is designed to address the complexity of their cardiac disease. Under a pediatric electrophysiologist’s guidance, specialized nurses collect data from the devices. Each device is programmed to match the child’s status as assessed during the visit. Changes can be made in real time to optimize device performance and to manage symptoms as needed. Any additional cardiac testing or visits can also be accomplished during this comprehensive visit.
