Ombudsman
Phone: 440.312.9140 or ext 29140 from a hospital phone.
The Ombudsman is the liaison between Hillcrest Hospital and the patient in resolving issues that may arise during the course of treatment. We recommend that patients first attempt to address their concerns with the department in which the issue occurred. If you do not reach a resolution with the person providing your care, we encourage you to contact the department manager or supervisor. If these attempts are unsatisfactory, call our Ombudsman Office from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, or you may leave a message anytime. Presenting an issue does not in itself compromise a patient’s future access to care.
Music and Art Therapy
Music therapy combines music and therapeutic techniques to aid in the physiological, psychological and emotional well-being of an individual during treatment of an illness. At Hillcrest Hospital, music therapists work in the inpatient hospital areas and in the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center.
Art therapy utilizes the creative process of making art to help patients in their healing and recovery. Art therapists work with patients at bedside, in group sessions, and in public areas with patients, families and employees. Art therapy is provided throughout the inpatient hospital and in the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center at Hillcrest Hospital.
