One on one personalized nutrition counseling, with the dietitian for cardiac prevention or management of cardiovascular disease and its risk factors including: obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and hypertriglyceridemia. Includes nutrition counseling and individualized goal setting.

Pediatric Preventive Cardiology Lipid Clinic

A multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, dietitians, exercise physiologists and other healthcare professionals who take a comprehensive approach to preventing the onset/progression of cardiovascular disease in high risk pediatric patients.

Intensive Behavioral Therapy for Weight Loss

An Offer for Medicare Patients

For Medicare Part B beneficiaries with body mass index (BMI) 30kg/m<sup>2</sup> and up. If you do not know your BMI ask your healthcare provider.

A combined approach that includes frequent one on one support provided by a nurse practitioner and a nutritional plan provided by a registered dietitian in order to make lifestyle changes that will support weight loss. Exercise guidance is also available.

Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation
located in the Sydell & Arnold Miller Family Pavilion, desk JB-1.

Covered for:

  • One face-to-face visit every week for the first month
  • One face-to-face visit every other week for two-six months
  • One face-to-face visit every month for months seven to 12, provided the beneficiary has lost at least 3kg (6.6 lbs) over the course of the first six months of intensive therapy.
