Osteoporosis is a major problem in postmenopausal women and is under recognized and under treated. Bone density assessment and fracture risk assessment is a key component in Menopausal risk assessment in our Center for Specialized Women’s Health.  Intensity of prevention and treatment strategies are affected by fracture risk and shared decision making between the patient and her physician. A total of 1277 patients received a DXA bone scan in 2022, of those 439 also received a trabecular bone score (TBS) with 149 receiving a change in their overall score (16% significant).
