ᵃThe total number of procedures includes electrophysiology studies, ICD testing, temporary pacemakers, loop recorders, and electrophysiology special procedures (endomyocardial biopsy, esophageal pacing, right heart catheterization, venography, and others). These are not included in the graph.

In the Cardiac Electrophysiology & Pacing Section, highly specialized approaches are offered to treat patients with heart rhythm problems. The procedures may be used for diagnosis or treatment.
