2025 Orientation
Before working/training at Cleveland Clinic, all clinical trainees and research fellows must first process-in with the Graduate Medical Education Department.
Note: Until you have had your institutional/GME orientation, you cannot attend department orientation, lectures or meetings, or perform any training responsibilities at Cleveland Clinic.
Orientation - clinical trainees (start date of July 1)
July 1 start date (your orientation has been pre-scheduled):
- PGY 1 residents: Orientation - Tuesday, June 17, InterContinental Hotel Cleveland
- PGY 2 and above (upper level residents/fellows): Orientation - Tuesday, July 1, InterContinental Hotel Cleveland
You are required to attend this session and need to reserve the entire day.
Orientation - surgical fellows (start date of Aug. 1)
Aug. 1 start date (your orientation has been pre-scheduled):
- Surgical fellows: Orientation - Thursday, July 31, InterContinental Hotel Cleveland
You are required to attend this session and need to reserve the entire day.
Virtual Orientation - off-cycle clinical and research trainees (start date other than July 1 and Aug. 1)
The GME department will schedule your virtual orientation based on your projected start date. All necessary items must be completed prior to orientation.
Virtual orientations take place on Wednesdays, your specific date to be determined. An email with your orientation date and additional information will be sent to you once you are cleared to attend. You will also receive a separate email with details on how to access the virtual orientation.
After orientation, the presentation slides and other relevant materials will be shared with you and your program coordinator to help you get started.
