The delay was that my pacemaker was placed in Florida and I was asking Cleveland Clinic in Ohio to replace the battery. I am thankful Dr. Callahan called me, discussed the situation, and took me as a patient, noting that I had seen a doctor (now retired) In his department.

Dr. Callahan was kind and professional. I appreciated that he took the time to listen and hear my story and my concerns. I liked that we were able to discuss and decide on the best way to treat me. He went out of his way to accommodate my situation and get me into surgery the same week so I didn't have to travel all the way back to Cleveland from Illinois. The anxiety I have felt for the past 8 months disappeared after my appointment with him.

I wish that "exceptional" was an option. Dr. Callahan did the visit at the end of the day but acted as though I was his only patient and that he had all the time in the world. Drs Callahan and Abbasi spent a good deal of time reviewing my case and provided excellent information in explaining treatment options, benefits and risk. That is greatly appreciated. Many times we encounter doctors that rush in and out and don't spend enough time going over everything with the patient. They were great! I will be having my procedure performed by Dr Callahan at the Cleveland Clinic.

"Ease of getting the care you needed" was fine. I am aware that nearly all doctors and their staff are overloaded. I am concerned about getting timely care since I have numerous medical conditions. It's easy to schedule an appointment, it's not easy to get an appointment that's not 5 months away, and in some cases, my doctors' calendar's aren't even open for the next 6 months.
