I needed an ultrasound of my submandibular gland on the same day since I was an out of state patient and they had "worked me in" to the ultrasound schedule. The Radiologist came in to the ultrasound room and rescanned the area in question. Just before I left the hospital, Dr. Scharpf called me on my cellphone to let me know of the ultrasound results. For a total of 2 1/2 hours at Cleveland Clinic, I had a visit, an unscheduled ultrasound done, and two specialists seeing me. That is so incredible these days when majority of patients have to wait for long or even days. I was even able to catch my outbound flight hours before departure.

Dr. Scharpf previously performed surgery on me, and I think the results were very good. This was a follow-up appointment. He showed concern and answered all of my questions. I am very pleased with him, and everything he did for me.

Dr Scharpf was, as usual, MOST EXCELLENT in examining my ENT surgical areas and giving me a positive diagnosis. I inquired about seeing the reconstruction surgeon and he replied he would update Dr Genther when he saw him. If a visit was warranted I would be contacted for an appointment. Dr Scharpf then recommended a follow up an ENT visit in four months. He wanted to insure my cancer did not reappear anywhere in my treatment area or adjoining tissues.
