Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 6/9/2019, Dr. Kapadia has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. very impressed with Doctor and assistant. Made me glad I came to Cleveland Clinic. Put my wife and I at ease and reduced our anxieties. Very pleased.

Even though it is costly for me to travel to the Cleveland Clinic the entire experience was great. Please note that the Mayo Clinic is only 80 miles away from where I live so that gives you a little idea that I came to Cleveland Clinic instead of Mayo because of my understanding that the Cleveland Clinic was the best provider for cardiac care. The care was excellent!

Dr Samir Kapadia treated us with respect. He is the best physician in his field of Interventional cardiology . He offered different options in treatment. He explained why he would choose one kind of coronary stent in my case compared to other stents. The procedure went well and there were no complications. He explained everything to my family and me. He gave details about waist size and coronary artery disease and need to reduce food intake. In summary, Dr Samir Kapadia provided exceptional patient care.

Dr. Kapadia and staff were excellent - patient, compassionate, willing to spend abundant time with me when needed, and went the extra mile of copying records and having them ready for me to puck up, etc. Dr. Kapadia himself was gentle, honest, and continued support , "I'll help you get through this and find the right treatment," when expected treatment approach doors kept closing. I trust, appreciate and respect him a great deal.

Dr. Kapadia was wonderful! He was very informative, extremely engaging, and caring. I cannot say enough positive things about my office visit with Dr. Kapadia. However, dealing with scheduling thru his office proved to be a bit of a challenge. Maybe I just do not understand why it takes so long to make arrangements. At any rate, that is the reason for the fair' ratings above.
