Very satisfied with opportunity to speak to Dr Raymond. Had submitted questions earlier but this was better - questions changed with the conversation. Could compare it to similar situation where I received a written response from a nurse to my questions but answers needed follow up which was possible with Dr Raymond.

Getting my initial appointment was a nightmare as I didnt have a primary care Doctor to refer me. Mine had left the practice where I went, and I had to find a new one before I was able to get an appointment. I tried for 3weeks to call the 800 number found online to schedule one.

It took over a month to get an appointment, which was a month out further. It was extremely frustrating to know I had cancer and the doctor I was trying to see had a whole paper he co-wrote about how treatment more than 50 days after biopsy had worse outcomes, yet my appointment was scheduled for 60+ days from the biopsy that showed I had cancer so obviously surgery would be even later. It was even more frustrating when I was called the night before my appointment to be told that Dr. Raymond was busy and couldn't see me the following day so I had to be rescheduled for ANOTHER month. Fortunately, they "made an exception" and worked me in that week, but it was still frustrating and aggravating on top of an already scary and emotional diagnosis.

I really like Dr. Raymond, he is thorough and was eager to answer my whole list of questions. I liked that he was personable but also very knowledgeable about thoracic surgery including being up-to-date on current practices, studies, etc. And he met me at my level instead of talking down to me or something, that was nice. And he shared with me pictures of his dog.
