Spiritual Support

Spiritual Support

South Pointe Hospital is dedicated to helping our patients get in touch with those spiritual and personal resources necessary to maintain a sense of well-being, faith and hope. Our Pastoral Care Department is available to minister to our patients' spiritual and emotional needs. We utilize an Inter-Faith Ministry system of trained lay Pastoral Care Ministers.

Pastoral Care respects our patients' dignity and privacy. We do not impose our beliefs or religious practices. We are caring listeners who have been trained to help with the special needs of our hospital patients and family members. We work with the health care team so that spiritual needs as well as medical needs are addressed.

Anyone can request a pastoral care visit – the patient, a family member, your clergy, your physician or a member of the hospital staff. Drop-in visits to patients' rooms are made as time permits, but we always respond to a request.

Catholic, Jewish, and Non-Denominational services are offered weekly located in our chapel located on the first floor of Building B. To contact pastoral care, call 216.491.7738.

Monetary donations

The Nourish Plus Food Pantry opened in 2024 with support from grant funding as part of the new community resource center at South Pointe Hospital. Today, financial contributions help us keep the shelves stocked — and respond quickly as more families turn to us for support.
