Dr. Timothy Simpson is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. His interest in residency began during clinical rotations and observing the profound impact pharmacists can have on patient care. He is currently interested in oncology. Tim is enrolled in the NEOMED teaching certificate program as part of the residency experience. After his residency, Tim plans on pursing a PGY-2 specialty residency in oncology, or continuing in this field as an outpatient pharmacist. In his leisure time, Tim enjoys rooting for all Pittsburgh sports teams, playing cello and bass, and spending time with friends and family.

PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident

Dr. Spencer K. Yingling is from Johnstown, Pennsylvania and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Duquesne University School of Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After interning at a hospital in Pittsburgh for 3 years during school, Spencer was inspired to pursue a PGY1 residency. Spencer’s primary area of interest is oncology and hopes to pursue a PGY2 Oncology residency next year. She is currently enrolled in the NEOMED teaching certificate program as part of her residency experience and would like to obtain a shared faculty position with a college of pharmacy after residency. In her leisure time, Spencer enjoys reading, running and spending time with her loving friends/family.
