Patients with HIV/AIDS should have testing for tuberculosis at the baseline visit; 100% of patients in the cohort had tuberculosis testing in 2015, 99% in 2016, 100% in 2017, 100% in 2018, and 100% in 2019. The goal of treatment is viral suppression to a level <400 copies/mL: 95% in 2015, 98% in 2016, 94% in 2017, 90% in 2018, and 97% in 2019; 95% of patients had a viral load < 400 copies/mL on every test in 2015, 88% in 2016, 90% in 2017, 87% in 2018, and 100% in 2019. Tuberculosis testing has improved during 2015–2019. These outcomes are based on guidelines prepared by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, HIV Medicine Association, Infectious Diseases Society of America, and HIV/AIDS Workgroup, and are the standard of care for HIV patients.
