Overview

From reviewing basic science including anatomy, physiology and biomechanics to providing a venue for the practice of advanced surgical techniques, the Orthopaedic Surgery Skills Laboratory is an invaluable resource for the development of its users.

The Skills Laboratory provides a convenient site for the development and evaluation of surgical products and techniques through arthroscopic practice on human cadaveric body regions, as well as various bone fixation techniques. Dry models are available for practice on basic techniques. The Skills Laboratory provides a centrally located space to train physicians on the latest procedures and hardware.

Outside Laboratory Scheduling

For a fee, the Orthopaedic Surgery Skills Laboratory offers a flexible schedule for individuals or groups from outside of Cleveland Clinic to use the lab and equipment for training or practice.

The lab can hold 40-50 people and there is a 3 hour minimum for rental. The lab has day/night/weekend availability and assistance is provided in the lab with tools, power equipment, arthroscopy towers and more for rental, along with specimens (for a fee).
