Government Relations leads advocacy with lawmakers, government agencies and organizations at the local, state, and federal levels.
We help shape policy to better ensure the laws and regulations implemented further advance the best interests of Cleveland Clinic patients and our communities.
Local, State and Federal
Local Government: Government Relations partners with Cleveland Clinic Community Health and Partnerships to work with mayors, councils, law enforcement, and other local officials to respond to important issues that impact the lives of the people in the communities where Cleveland Clinic patients live and work.
State Government: Government Relations interacts with the Ohio and Florida General Assemblies, the Governor’s offices, state agencies and other Florida and Ohio public and private organizations to advocate for and partner on issues that impact hospitals, patients and community members across the states.
Federal Government: Government Relations interacts with Congress, the White House and cabinet agencies, notably the Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, to positively influence policies that affect the health of our patients and the nation’s citizens.
