Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

representatives seem undire of what they are doing Nowhere in Cleveland Clinic has anyone been even thoughtful of how far we have to drive. Been to Cleveland for impct studyand blood draw. wound up having to reschedule set appointment for 6/4 got there was told doctor did not show up. I was told they tried to call several times. but my phone shows 2 calls one 6;05 PM and 6:07pm. no messages left so we drove 3 hours up and back for nothing. rescheduled for June 22 for another impact.blood draw and covid testing. procedure set for 23rd. had to get a hotel to stay overnightJune 22 impact study. were told no more bloodwork neededJune 23rd procedure was asked by Dr Bhatt ig I had copies from camera procedure at Sycamore hospital in DaytonExplained I was told was sent by hospitalprocedure aborted. Dr Bhatt said didnt think this was the correct procedure needed and thought if double balloon needed should go from upper to small intestine not through colonDr Bhatt said make appointment for visual. he will obtain records and review them then call me. one would that someone would have looked at my records. Dr Lashner had quite a stack of them. however it appears that noone even looked to see if the double balloon procedure was what I needed. shoddy work. Dr Bhatt did the best he could and offered to call me.

Difficulties were mostly due to the office staff of my referring physician.

He wasn't my Doctor. Only chose this appointment because my primary doctor was over booked for the time I requested. He was not completely involved in my treatment so he just kind of brushed it off and would refer it to my primary doctor.
