Dr. Brian Leo is board certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and attended medical school at the University of Virginia School of Medicine where he then went on to complete his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Leo then moved to south Florida where he completed his fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at the UHZ Sports Medicine Institute in Coral Gables as an assistant team physician for the University of Miami Hurricanes and Florida International University Panthers.
In 2008 Dr. Leo joined the Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston. Currently Dr. Leo is head of Sports Health in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Director of Surgical Operations at the Cleveland Clinic Ambulatory Surgical Center in Coral Springs. He has served as the Head Team Physician for the Florida Atlantic University Owls and the Medical Director and Team Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Florida Panthers National Hockey Team.
Dr. Leo is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North American. He specializes in sports related injuries of the knee &, shoulder and has published numerous manuscripts and lectured nationally and internationally on PCL and ACL reconstruction biomechanics and clinical outcomes.

Dr. Leo listened to my concerns and also did a few tests to see how my knee was progressing and was concenred about the continued swelling in my knee causing me to still be using a device to walk. Giving me out look if pain continues have a few options in mind

The doctor ordered blood work and an EKG for upcoming surgery. One of the assistants booked my follow up labs/EKG and I was told I was all set. When I returned to the Clinic, I learned that only the blood work was scheduled. I now have to call back and schedule my EKG.
