Dr. McNamara is my oncologist. He is an awesome physician; saved my life. He is warm, approachable, and human, also knowledgeable and thoughtful. He explains things very clearly, listens to our concerns, critiques the information we find on the internet, and seems always to have my best interest at heart. He is a key leader of the team as we deal with my complicated and fatal condition; providing input and judgement and also giving me the final decisions and responsibility for our choices. Everybody deserves a physician-patient relationship like the one we have. He helps me to live and laugh in spite of my chemotherapy and my impending death. (Which so far he has managed to delay by a couple of years.) Also he is humble and very human; probably a really great person to have at a party, but definitely a really great person to help me through a difficult patch of life. Give him a raise & some recognition (not a promotion though; please let him stay with patients!!)

Dr. McNamara met with us on short-notice after receiving confusing information from another provider. He was able to bring clarity to my father's condition and where he is in "staging". He presented difficult to digest details in a manner that was sensitive and caring. We highly recommend Dr. McNamara to other patients.
