Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 12/16/2020, Dr. Sullivan has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Dr Sullivan is an amazing Doctor and Human being. A world class Doctor in every sense. he is extremely humble for someone of his stature. He genuinely cares and shows true empathy. he gave us all the time we need, followed up to every question I wrote to him and was available for calls whenever necessary. Most importantly his diagnosis and understanding of the medical condition was correct. his direction was always well thought out and executed with precision.

Dr Sullivna is terrific. I would be very grateful if he oversees all of my medical care, not just his handling of my Covid case. He's very calm, thorough, and gets to solutions quickly.

Reviewed on Dec 15, 2020

Given that we are 3 hours away, the option to see the doctor online is *extremely* helpful, not even taking into account any Covid risks of an in-person visit. I would choose this option every time a physical visit isn't 100% necessary.

Reviewed on Aug 21, 2020

Dr Dan Sullivan was by far the most attentive and inquiring than any internist I've met. He was easy to consult with. He is smart and experienced. At one point in my long day of appointments at CC,he called to check if I was on track with appointments. it was great to feel taken care of.

Reviewed on Aug 18, 2020

I had to go through Dr Sullivan personally in order to set the appointment up. The scheduling department was unable to do so

Reviewed on Aug 11, 2020

If we could give better than a 5 we would. Dr Sullivan went above and beyond to get Jacklyn the unique and outside-the-box support her specific circumstances called for. No room for improvement. We are profoundly grateful.

Reviewed on Jul 7, 2020

It was in my opinion a very productive appointment and that Dr. Sullivan made me feel at ease given this telemedicine is not the normal way for me to have a visit with my physician, especially one that I am meeting with for the first time. I appreciated his ability to discuss my concerns and am looking to working with him in the future as well the other appropriate appointments in person in the near future. Thank you.

Reviewed on Jul 7, 2020

If the circumstances of covid-19 did not exist, and with being almost 3 hours form your clinic, I would alway choose an in person visit especially with the Physician seeing me for the first time. I think this was a good way to get the process started before making the trip for consults and testing to limit my travel time. I also had the opportunity to have my spouse listen in, as at this time I won't be able to bring anyone into my appointments with me at this time. Dr. Sullivan also made me feel comfortable about making the trip and the accommodations near you clinic campus.

Reviewed on Jul 6, 2020

Dr Sullivan was an effective listener and communicator. Within our appointment, I felt we accomplished a lot and had a plan moving forward.

Reviewed on Jun 30, 2020

He was amazing! After many years of doctors not knowing what to do about my symptoms, Dr. Sullivan rather quickly assessed a direction to pursue and was very quick and concise. I also like that he gave me his commitment to not stop trying to diagnose and/or try to remedy my health issues. I am very grateful to him, the clinic, and especially to God!

Reviewed on Jun 30, 2020

I was impressed by both how quickly I was able to get in for my first visit and for how much was accomplished in one day. The fact that the first doctor rather quickly recommended and went out of his way to arrange for me to see Dr. Sullivan, made me very impressed in the collaboration between specialists within the clinic.

This was a much faster process than trying to see a doctor in person. I was very happy with the process and the outcome. I'm glad this option is available. I think it's great. It was perfect for this particular situation.

I haven't been to the doctor in a very long time. I have to say that I had some apprehensions in a laundry list of issues that I wanted to have checked out and was concerned that it would just be an in and out appointment due to doctors being so busy. This was not the case at all. Dr. Sullivan made sure all my questions were answered and made me not feel rushed. He even went above and beyond with walking me towards the area that I needed to go for a blood test. Thank you!
