The orthopedic fellow was professional in his manner, but I did not see a staff physician at anytime during my visit. I drove from Naples for this appointment and paid the copay to see a "specialist".

I was surprised how quickly I was seen by the doctor.

the assessment was a second opinion for my knee. the first recommended a total knee replacement as soon as possible. Dr. Patel performed knee replacements for a couple friends who recommended him for the second opinion. Dr. Patel consulted with me and other physician(s) and determined a Partial replacement was my best option then explained how and why. It was great news. The initial exam and course of action was fantastic. I will withhold total judgement until after the procedure has. even performed. So far, I couldn't be happier.

As this was my first time visiting Cleveland Clinic and Dr.Patel.I was treated efficiently and very professionally. Dr.Patel listened to my C/O regards my LTK and did thorough exam and advised plan of care which involves surgery. I feel less anxious having now seen Dr. and discussing procedure

At first I was told by anesthesiologist I would get a spinal block, & then at last moment the doctor said general anesthesia.

Reviewed on Jul 6, 2018

Dr. Patel did not offer any recommendations for treatment of my problem. He said my past surgeries may not have been necessary. My husband and I were very disappointed with his disinterest in my problem. I was recommended by my surgeon to Dr. Patel. I left knowing no more about my condition than before I came to see him.

Reviewed on Jul 6, 2018

If I did not ask the woman at check-out I would never have known about the portal I could access for test results. When I asked Dr. Patel how would I know about test results he said " I see 60 patients a day, do you expect me to call every patient". He never mentioned the portal that Cleveland Clinic had. I found him curt, disinterested and totally without compassion.

Care provider seems to have a very busy schedule that hampers his ability to dedicate time to patient. Although attention paid was good there is a sense that matters need to be covered quickly to grant time for next duties. Taking into consideration that I traveled from outside the country I would have wanted to cover other questions and matters but couldn't.
