About Robert Molloy, MD

Robert Molloy, MD, is the Vice Chairman of Orthopedics and the Director of Adult Reconstruction at Cleveland Clinic. He is board certified in hip and knee replacements, including complex and primary revision hip and knee surgery, and knee arthroscopy.

Dr. Molloy received his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedics at the Cleveland Clinic, and his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at New England Baptist Hospital. Dr. Molloy was appointed to Cleveland Clinic in 2006 as a Staff Orthopedic Surgeon. 

In his leisure time, Dr. Molloy enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

there were actually two care providers. One who did the original assessment and answer questions and then the surgeon. I am not exactly certain what the title of the first provider was. Both were very willing to answer questions and provide guidance.

I have encountered many doctors during my lifetime and Dr. Molloy is definitely one of the best that I have encountered. His whole demeanor puts you at ease and I have no doubt that if I ever require surgery again on my knee I would not hesitate to have him be the surgeon performing the procedure.

Dr. Robert Malloy, the orthopedic attending and Dr. Neil Soenlen, the orthopedic fellow, listened to my concern and showed empathy and respect. They explained the procedure, including the risks and benefit of surgery, and alternatives. They work well together as an excellent orthopedic team.

Since I was not able to get a Flu shot from Primary care DR. (different location separate from Clinic) he just did not received yet. I asked Dr. Molloy to help me get the "Quad" Flu shot for seniors. He was able to call up a nice sweet nurse to administer the shot W/O pain. I am Very glad he & his staff have helped me over the years.

I had two knee replacement surgeries. Left knee on 3/18/2020 and right knee on 5/29/2020. Dr. Molloy and his entire are very warm. compassionate and supportive throughout this whole process which has not been easy due to COVID 19 limiting the number of people I am allowed to see. Thank you to Dr. Molloy and staff.
