About Augusto Hsia, Jr., MD

Augusto Tan Hsia, Jr., MD,CCD is on Staff at the Center for Spine Health at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus. He accepted that appointment in 2006 after being the chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine and a physician of internal medicine and rheumatology at North Shore Medical , Door County Memorial Hospital Wisconsin

His clinical interests include acute and chronic back pain, failed back surgery syndrome, spondyloarthropathies ,lumbar canal stenosis, metabolic bone disease/bone optimization for spinal deformity

He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. Louis University in Baguio City, Philippines, and completed a postgraduate internship at Medical Center Manila, Philippines. Dr. Hsia completed a residency in internal medicine at New York University Veterans Affairs Medical Center and a fellowship in clinical transplant at University Hospital of the State University of New York, Stony Brook, N.Y. He completed two fellowships at Cleveland Clinic; one in rheumatology & immunology, and the other in medical spine.

He had read my file from another medical provider and was well versed before the visit. He listened and came up with a plan. He is open to including other medical professionals if needed. I appreciate his time and effort. He listened and took action where my medical team at home didn't. I feel that my medical issues will be addressed

Doctor was 15 minutes late coming to exam room because he'd been in a meeting. We were very irritated, but in the end felt comfortable with Dr. Hsia. His explanations were easy to understand and he had several recommendations.

Excellent! My daughter mistakenly scheduled my appointment with Dr Hasia in thoughts he was a neurologist. Regardless he and his staff were more than willing to explain all the surgeries I have had previously and a proper course of action with my needs.
