So far, so good. I always have liked all my "team physicians," as the care I have received has been superior. Now, I am faced with a breast surgery, that shall test my endurance and the expertise of the medical staff at Hillcrest Hospital of the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Malgieri was very patient, compassionate with situation I was in. He was very good at explaining what I had and the process that I would be going through to treat me. I went in scared and left feeling better about the care I would get.

Because of an abnormal finding on a procedure, I was a bit uptight. I had also read a lot online about findings and outcomes. Dr. Malgieri set me at ease by explaining the findings, using a most helpful chart so I could see and have greater understanding about the area of concern. I had a list of prepared questions and found that very one of them was answered most thoroughly! I am in great hands and very appreciative of the doctor's genuine care, knowledge and skill with this kind of of procedure, and passion as a surgeon and compassion for his patients. I left with a review of all areas I needed to know regarding prior and post surgery. Was even given thorough printed materials to study. Plus, his assistant, Lynn went over all the important information with me. Love the teamwork displayed in this office and the friendly and professional ambiance that was very evident. Am so grateful.

I had hernia repair by this doctor. Have been having problems with discomfort in the area along with nausea for over 2 years. By viewing recent c-scan with contrast on bladder and kidneys by my urologist Dr.was able to view and stated hernia with mesh was in tact and could not provide any solution or referral to any other Dr. That may help with my symptoms. His response left me on my own to find an answer!! He had no answer or referral suggestions. I was surprised because I have alot of respect for Dr. Malgeri ,but due to all the publicity about the failure of hernia meshes I expected some response which I did not bring up which I should have but felt it was his responsibility to reassure me the mesh used was safe. I am not sure with all my nausea ,discomfort etc that maybe the mesh is partially or fully responsible for my symptoms. All I got was "I don't know". I hate writing this kind of review. I have been a patient for over 30 years and never wrote about a bad experience, could have but never did,I just changed doctors!

Dr. Malgieri is the primary reason I come to Hillcrest for breast health. He gives his full attention to what the patient is saying or asking as opposed to ignoring the patient and being engrossed with a computer screen. When he enters the room he actually listens and answers. This is a rare attribute with some providers.
