Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 3/19/2019, Dr. Rose has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. I find Dr. Rose to be compassionate, caring, and emoathetic.

Reviewed on Apr 11, 2019

As soon as I told Dr. Rose of a pain I had he would not give me chemo until he had a CAT SCAN to determine the reason for the pain. He arranged it for that day then got the results and we met again that day to learn the results. He then had me do chemo the same day. I very much appreciated that since we live over an hour away from the clinic.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rose since my initial meeting for my cancer. He has gone above and beyond in my care. During surgery, he carefully planned the surgery and also found another cancer I did not know I had. Dr. Rose was the first provider in 2 years who showed concern for my pain I have been having and took next steps to help me figure out what to do next. he has personally called me twice to give me updates and really makes me feel that he cares about my health. He is an excellent provider!

Dr. Rose knows I will ask questions when I see him and he welcomes them. He is very knowledgeable, but he isn't afraid to admit when he doesn't know something. I prefer that over someone who just tells me what he thinks I want to hear. Dr. Rose and his staff are very responsive to my questions and my needs, whether it's a medical issue or a scheduling issue.

Reviewed on Oct 26, 2018

We talked about the maintenance treatment I've been on for a year-plus and Dr. Rose was genuinely happy that it's working for me. I asked him if there would be a time when I could get CT scans less often and he and his nurse explained the reasons for keeping me on my current schedule.

Reviewed on Oct 26, 2018

Dr. Rose's nurse gave me the option to reschedule my appointment because he had a really full schedule on the date my appointment was originally scheduled. I did reschedule it because I wanted my wait time to be minimal and I wanted enough appointment time to ask him some questions. I'm glad I made that choice.

Dr. Rose was very personable but I am somewhat uncomfortable that he always seems to be in a hurry when speaking with me. I feel like I have questions but he is already out the door before I can ask them. He admitted me to the hospital, his team was very accessible.
