Fernando Castro, MD is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Castro carried out his medical education postgraduate at the University of Puerto Rico Affiliated Hospitals, through an internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology.
In 2003, Dr. Castro joined Cleveland Clinic Florida as a board-certified gastroenterologist. He contains various special medical interests some of which include, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies, inflammatory bowel disease, general gastroenterology, general herpetology, iron deficiency anemia, hepatitis C, and colonoscopy quality improvement.
