Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 6/28/2020, Dr. Sheridan has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Catherine Sheridan is an asset to the Cleveland Clinic as she is kind, compassionate, professional and friendly. I had to find another PCP when my insurance no longer contracted with the Cleveland Clinic. I had 3 different PCP's in 3 years as I unsuccessfully searched for someone who was like Dr. Sheridan. I am thankful that my insurance and the Cleveland Clinic were able to work out a contact making Dr. Sheridan an in-network provider once again.

Dr Sheridan has been my Doctor for a long time. Dr Sheridan remembered to wear a face guard so that I can READ LIPS. Dr Sheridan ensured that I was up to date on my medical check up. Dr Sheridan is a professional, caring Doctor and demonstrates excellent patient care especially for those patients with hearing loss like myself. With the virus mask challenge for those that must READ LIPS has been very frustrating yet the staff of Doctor Sheridan and herself knows that the face guard and social distance will help to communicate effectively. Just awesome quality patient care each and every time I visit. I believe the Cleveland Clinic needs to improve communication to all Doctors Offices and medical staff employees especially to the hearing impaired since each and every hearing impaired person have their own different communication style. Some people READ LIPS well with or without hearing aids/cochlear implant, some people with hearing loss do very with READING LIPS. Some people need Interprets. I know many people who left the Cleveland Clinic to go to University Hospital because UH has improved their communication to help people with hearing loss. I do NOT feel the need to change hospitals because I have been very lucky with the Cleveland Clinic for a long time. I have complete faith and trust in the Cleveland Clinic to handle my patient care. word of advice, the Patients medical charts should ALWAYS show a Method of Communication so that the Doctor and medical staff can better understand how to communicate with the patient. it will make the medical staff jobs much easier if they are aware of it from the very beginning. I give the Cleveland Clinic a 5 star rating and will continue to get my medical care with the Cleveland Clinic. I want to Thank each and every medical employees how much we appreciate all they do to help their patients in a pandemic or no pandemic.
