Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 11/3/2015, Dr. Lystad has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Dr Lystad is wonderful. She cares about your condition and you as a whole person. I tolerate the long waits because of the care she gives me.

dr lystad helped resolve an issue I've had for the past 18 months simply by listening, taking my other health issues into account, and being logical. 6 other doctors, all who I saw more than once, have not done that. She deserves outstanding recognition.

I love Dr. Lystad. She always ensures I fully understand what is going on. I am a newlywed, and my spouse came with me for the 1st time to my appts. Dr. Lystad even took the time to explain to him my condition, show him MRI scans, etc. It was very much appreciated.

Lisa was so kind, she listened to me and my husband with my symptoms and concerns. She sent a great deal time with us and was genuinely concerned for my health. She took time to explain everything to us and answer all of my questions. She was also genuinely happy for us when everything come back with good bill of health. I was actually disappointed when she told me I was to healthy to see her again. Anyone that she sees is extremely lucky to have not only a great doctor but such a caring one as well. She even gave us great suggestions for lunch.

This was a new doctor. She is amazing. I walked away feeling very comfortable with all the information and the exam.

She was too busy walking out the door to the next patient to completely explain what my next step is to be. I still don't know if the Migraine specialist she is referring me to is supposed to call me, or if I'm supposed to guess who she referred me to in order to call them to make an appointment. I'm not at all happy with how I was treated this time.
