Dr.Lashner demonstrated "an excellent" bedside manner--interacting with the patient AND the family in a caring, knowledgeable and calm manner. Being a healthcare professional, Dr. Lashner did it the way it is taught. Something greatly lacking in today's practice of medicine.

I should have been treated as differential diagnosis but was assigned a liver doctor who said he'd see me in a year after a fibroscan and blood work. Thank god for the folks on 5 th floor and dr Lashner. Otherwise my trip would have been wasted.

Didn't feel as though the doctor had even looked at my medical records prior to visit and the experience during my visit after driving a substantial distance to get there felt extremely rushed. I did not feel as though my concerns or even reason for my visit was addressed I was scheduled for a test then sent on my way. The whole experience caught me completely off guard.

Dr. Lashner is the FIRST doctor I have seen in 18 months that has said that I would be involved in my health care!! He listened; he wasn't dismissive & he conveyed a heartfelt concern for me as a patient and as a person. To Dr. Lashner, I wasn't just a number to add to the count of patients seen. At last a doctor that could grasp my utter fear over my gastro problemsat last, a doctor with empathywith an honest concern and care for his patient. Dr. Lashner explained what imaging he would order & assured me that he will consult with other specialists & lead me to the best surgeon(s) as needed.

I feel relief & very much at ease with my choice & decision to come to the Cleveland Clinic & to see Dr. Lashner. A person's last name shouldn't have to be Rockefeller or Bezos in order to get healthcare where a doctor listens and a doctor provides feedback and explanations and assures the patient that he/she will be involved in their own health care. A patient's last name shouldn't have to be Rockefeller or Bezos to be assured that they will be lead to the best surgeon should surgery be needed. Lastly, a patient's last name should not and NEVER be what will guarantee that everything that can be done will be done and that not even the smallest stone will be left unturned in a rush to find out how to restore my health.Down to my core, I know I've made the right decision by choosing Dr. Lashner & the Cleveland Clinic.
