The Telemedicine meeting was basically a meet and greet event which provided Dr. Saliba and myself the opportunity to ask each other questions about the Watchman procedure and my tests at the hospital prior to the insertion of the Watchman. As for the video experience compared to an in person care provider...I used to be "old school" and wanted to speak to the physician in person but I have to say, this worked very well. One other thing....I have been to many specialists in my lifetime for different reasons and many of the specialists ask you a question and before you can answer, they start talking. I did not get that feeling from Dr. Saliba. When he asked me a question, I was able to provide my answer without being interrupted or him "talking over me".

I was immediately put at ease with Dr. Saliba. He had thoroughly read my transcrips from my cardiologist in Erie, PA and had a wonderful bedside manner while explaining that he doesn't have all the answers to afib. He questioned my need for surgery and wanted to understand my expectations. He took his time in preadmission and followed up after surgery twice. I also had the pleasure of speaking with his associate (Dr. Waheed?) from Australia prior to discharge. He answered additional questions and spoke quite highly of the procedure and care as performed by Dr. Saliba.
