Claude Jones, DO, has recently been appointed as the Medical Director for the Primary Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Martin Health.
With a distinguished career in healthcare, Dr. Jones brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Addiction Medicine, and Healthcare Quality with fellowship training in Addiction Medicine. His academic pursuits have earned him a Master of Public Health and a Master of Science in Law and Policy from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Jones has a strong background in public health, having served as Medical Executive Director of the Lake and Putnam County Health Departments in Central Florida, where he provided oversight in various medical and health areas. Prior to his current role, he was the President and CEO of Care Alliance Health Center, where he focused on social determinants of health and health equity. His commitment to public health is further demonstrated by his appointments to the National Advisory Council for the National Health Service Corps by the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Environmental Health Professionals Advisory Board by the Florida Surgeon General.
Dr. Jones's professional highlights include a Health Policy Fellowship in Washington, D.C., with a research focus on payment models for medical providers and health policy. He has been recognized for his leadership and contributions to healthcare, including being named one of Northeast Ohio’s Smart 50 Top Executives and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

I've seen a lot of doctors in my years, and Dr. Jones is the best in every category. And walks in the room smiling it seems very concerned about me as a patient. Not trying to rush me out the door, you listen to all my questions and takes his time with me and my concern The most important thing is I feel so comfortable and so easy to talk to him. I'm never been so at ease and comfortable talking with any doctor, male or female. So happy I found him as a primary care doctor. I feel so lucky. He's an great asset to the Cleveland Clinic.
