Dr. Shivnaveen Bains, MD, FAPA is a Child, Adolescent and Adult psychiatrist and Program Director for Cleveland Clinic Akron General Psychiatry Residency Program practicing in Akron, Ohio. She is board certified in both Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and specializes in treating children and adolescent patients with psychiatric conditions like major depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, insomnia and other mental illnesses. Her clinical and research interests include the assessment and treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and women mental health. She is also a member of various professional societies including American Psychiatric Association ( APA), American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology ( ASCP), American Professional Society of ADHD and related Disorders ( APSARD) and American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry ( AACAP).
