Dr.Achkar answers my questions on My Chart.Excellent responses

I've seen Dr Achkar for many years. I always know that he will be running behind and I will be waiting for about an hour after my scheduled appointment time. I don't mind waiting. I know I'm waiting because he was providing excellent care to the patients scheduled before me. He is an excellent doctor. He listens to what I have to say and includes me in choices about my care. I drive from Indiana to see him and will continue to do so, despite wait times.

Experience with physician was outstanding (3rd visit). tough getting appt - got a lot of run around the 3rd visit - suggesting I get this done in my hometown or by a different provider. I wanted this provider as he did the last two EGD's and found gastric and esophageal ulcers. Continuity of care is very important to me. Again, the provider is excellent in every way - kind, in too if his game, thorough, safety first, a good teacher and communicator.

I have been going to Dr. Achkar for 19 Years. He has always been professional and direct with me. If I didn't agree with him he always made an effort to explain his reasons. After explaining to me I almost always agreed with him. You have a great doctor in Dr. Achkar. I respect him very much.

The doctor was attentive and thorough but we had to wait over an hour to see him. That does not include the 30 minutes prior to the appointment time that the clinic requested us to be at the appointment.
