A prolific researcher, Dr. Pinna has numerous peer-reviewed publications covering a breadth of research pursuits, from liver-dual kidney transplantation and the treatment of hepatitis C recurrence after liver transplantation to treatments for pancreatic, bile duct and liver cancer. He has advanced new immunosuppression strategies to improve patient outcomes and pioneered techniques in small bowel transplantation. Today he serves on the editorial board for Annals of Surgery and is a reviewer of the leading industry journals Transplantation, American Journal Transplantation, Liver Transplantation, and Clinical Transplantation.

Fellowship trained in organ transplantation at University of Pittsburgh’s Thomas E. CC far exceeds in all areas, leaving Mayo in their dust!!! I was a number at Mayo. I was rushed through appointments. The Teamwork is great!! I wish I would have been aware of Cleveland Clinic years ago. The 3 doctors and the social worker are extraordinary!!!! I feel so comfortable with CC!!
