David Hellman, DO is a board certified gastroenterologist. He joined Cleveland Clinic Florida in 2019 and practices at the Wellington office and the Coral Springs Family Health Center where he performs all his procedures. For the prior 25 years he worked in Boynton Beach in private practice. He served as Chairman of the internal medicine department, Chairman of the Endoscopy Committee and member of Credentials Committee at Bethesda Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Hellman was awarded the first Caring Excellence Certified Physician award on behalf of Caring Excellence Certified Employee Caregivers of the Bethesda Memorial Hospital of Boynton Beach, Florida. He's worked as an associate professor at Florida Atlantic University and Nova Southeastern University Medical School, teaching third and fourth year medical students.
His interested include all aspects of gastroenterology including screening colonoscopy, EGDs for GERD, liver diseases, pancreatic diseases, diseases of the gallbladder, celiac sprue, diverticulitis and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
His personal interests include bike riding, gardening, weight training, fishing, traveling and spending quality time with family. He believes in living a healthy lifestyle and teaches the importance of healthy food choices and exercise to enjoy life to the fullest.

My rating of poor is for Cleveland Clinic in general. Cleveland clinic as a business does not care about their patients. It is a shame because there are some good Drs there that I don't want to give up. I cannot recommend Cleveland Climic in general to anyone at this point. This has nothing to do with Dr Hellman or his care. He is great.
