Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 4/22/2021, Dr. Mascaro Pankova has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. 104 Patient Satisfaction Reviews
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions shown below from our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.

He was exceptionally caring and loving. I have never known a doctor that I appreciate more. I would unquestionably recommend him to others for his skill and caring.

Doctor Mascaro Pankova consistently implied for me to go somewhere else and did not make me feel comfortable for the procedure I was inquiring about. He also mentioned how he gets paid by salary so any complications from my procedure would be on me and not his responsibility.

dr. mascaro is rude and not wanting to listen to what I am saying. He jumped on defense at once. Would not go back to him if he's the last doctor on earth!!

I am extremely pleased and happy with Dr. Mascaro. He is patient and does not ever make you feel like he is rushing your appointment. He is genuine and wants to make sure you have the best possible outcome. I couldn't be happier with the care that Dr. Mascaro and his nurse Dara have given me.

He is an amazing physician. Very caring and considerate to my concerns. The day I was diagnosed with Cancer was a blur of appointments but I remember how he took the time to explain my options and was extremely patient. I have been extremely impressed by him and his amazing Nurse during all of my appointments since my original surgery. I am very please with how I am progressing. He is truest an amazing all around physician. I wish more doctors would follow he lead.

Very good experience with Dr Maskaro and his office
Reviewed on Dec 15, 2020
Dr. Blake was extremely late in seeing me. the information she gave me she gave very fast. I had to have her repeat everything while I then took notes. she was nice enough but although she's been through this thousands of times, this was my very first time. I'm sure she is a good surgeon otherwise she would not be there. My experience was probably not the norm, but when I left I was not feeling very good about it.

CC is very fortunate to have Dr. Mascaro. He is a great asset to your organization. A true artist in his profession.
Reviewed on Nov 13, 2020
I usually feel very rushed during appointments and I feel that the doctor is trying to set up blame on me for a perhaps unsatisfactory outcome. Perhaps being a man, the doctor does not fully grasp what a woman goes thru in dealing with such a personal and life altering decision as reconstruction after mastectomy. Not much empathy.
