About Yasdet Maldonado, MD

Yasdet Maldonado, MD, MMM, FASE, is the Continuous Improvement Officer for the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Maldonado is an internationally known cardiothoracic anesthesiologist. She is board certified in Anesthesiology and Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography. Dr. Maldonado is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University.

  • Dr. Maldonado was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She completed her undergraduate work and earned her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico.

    Dr. Maldonado received her residency training in general surgery and anesthesiology at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and her fellowship training in adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology at the Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Maldonado also received a Masters in Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 

    Her academic appointments include Clinical Instructor of Anesthesiology at The Ohio State University, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Temple University, and Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University. She previously served as the Anesthesiology Residency Program Director at Allegheny Health Network.
