Industry Relationships

Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 9/25/2019, Dr. Robins has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Click here to view a listing of instances where Cleveland Clinic has identified a Public Health Service (PHS)-Reportable Financial Conflict of Interest and has put measures in place to ensure that, to the extent possible, the design, conduct and reporting of the research is free from bias.

When Amanda hands me some paper, the after visit summary and labs, I read it and ask if a test can be added. She says will speak with the doctor. Dr. Robins comes in angrily, "I am confused", takes back the paper, sits in front of the computer again, corrects the medication that I tell her is not my current med, and comments, "I was about going to another patient's room..." Though I find her misspelling on the names of my specialty doctors in her note, I dare not to clarify with her.

My visit was very good and I would recommencement this clinic and Dr Robins in a heart beat.

dr robins is not a people person

Reviewed on Aug 13, 2019

The doctor was very caring and listen carefully to what I have to say.

Reviewed on Jul 26, 2019

when I arrived the person at the front was not very welcoming.I was very unsatisfied with Dr. Robins. Maybe she was not having a good day, but I did not feel comfortable at all. I had not been to a PCP in 8 months, and had a lot of concerns. she was rude, and asked "what exactly are we doing today, because you have a lot of issues!" I was simply sharing the concerns I had with her as my new PCP. She sat wrong on computer the majority of the time, without making eye contact. I felt very uncomfortable. She seemed annoyed with my concerns. To the point where I am looking for a new PCP. I was not going to say anything, but received this survey today. A physician should make one feel comfortable.

I liked Dr. Robins very much. She was caring, very knowledgeable, and an excellent communicator.

I'm a new patient so most of my visit with dr robins entailed medical history intake. my concerns were addressed efficiently. this was a routine visit.

Reviewed on Jul 24, 2019

I arrived at my appointment and after signing in my approximate wait time to see Dr Robins was very quick.

she did not look at my ears or throat during this annual physical. when I went tolab for blood tests no urine test had been ordered! traditionally, I always had an EKG DURING MY ANNUAL PHYSICAL... there was none.extremely disappointed! my spouse went for his physical to a different Dr. and was given all the above

Dr Robbins has great office manners

I felt that Dr.Robins listened to my medical issues and addressed mv needs. This is not common among providers.I am hoping that this will continue.

I was very pleased with the woman in the front waiting area. she was very nice and extremely helpful.I was surprised that I went in to see the doctor within five minutes of my arrival.meeting with the doctor she allowed me to explain my disease and my frustration with the fact that only a small amount of doctors even know what my disease is.she is the first doctor out of the last nine that stated she would do whatever she could to help me with my disease.the amount of time she spent with me and her patience made me feel I finally found a doctor who at least cared about my disease and was willing to try to help me.my niece who is a doctor and professor at Virginia Tech was the one who found what kind of doctor I needed to see and she recommended Cleveland Clinic. she told me that you a one of the best medical facilities in the country.from what I've seen and my experience I would have to agree.

Reviewed on May 13, 2019

The cursory physical exam given for an annual physical was ridiculous. Outside of the abdominal palpating and auscultation, I receive the very same exam every time I'm there. The o my additional exam was the diabetic foot exam for neuropathy. Also, I have bipolar disease and have been looking for a therapist. I was amazed that neither Dr. Robins or the practice in general didn't have a recommendation.

I was very sick and seeking answers, and even thou I wasn't able to see my new primary doctor until weeks later Dr. Sherri Robbins took care of me, and was understanding, and I felt better after seeing her. I am grateful for going to Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Shari Robins is one in a million, and Cleveland Clinic has an outstanding persona because of physicians like her. She goes above and beyond the confines of a job description with ample amounts of compassion and the drive to 'get to the bottom of things'. I am very lucky to have found her and you are equally lucky to have her represent Cleveland Clinic.

Reviewed on Feb 15, 2019

neither dr or nurse seemed present or interested in my overall health or concerns. treatment felt more like something you would receive or expect from a FREE CLINIC not Clevand Clinic

Reviewed on Feb 4, 2019

your care provider was rushed and unconcerned and did not address all of my health issues and concerns and then refused to treat my issues as has been done before in the past and worked just fine previously. this provider doesn't belong in the health care industry. I'm already looking to find a better provider

New to the area and wanted to establish a new internal medicine physician. I selected Dr Robins from the positive comments I saw on line when I looked up physicians at Wellington Cleveland Clinic. I was not dissappointed. She was personable and professional.
