Dr. Silver received her bachelor and Master’s degree in speech pathology and audiology from San Jose State University in California in 994-1995 and her doctorate in audiology from University of Florida in 2001. She is a senior audiologist at Cleveland Clinic Florida and combines interests in Speech Perception by the hearing-impaired, amplification, vestibular diagnostics and treatment, and issues of student training and mentorship. She spent her early career doing research in hearing science and started practicing clinical audiology in various academic and hospital settings in 1998. She has joined the Cleveland Clinic in 2006.
Silver has written a number of articles and abstracts that have appeared in peer-reviewed publications. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
