Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 3/19/2018, Dr. Tobias has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Dr. Tobias thought the stress test would be done in a timely manner.

dr tobias is very calming not alarmist explains everything he wants u to know, also includes talking to or referring u to other Drs like primary or specialist

the only negative I would say is that although I came in for something specific, I was surprised that the doctor was not the one recommending blood test and cardiac ct scan. instead I was the one asking and requesting it as a baseline.

Dr. Tobias, whom I had never met prior to my visit to his office immediately, proactively took charge of what I needed (procedure) called the hospital and scheduled me for the next morning. Additionally, Dr. Tobias was sensitive and proactive with regards to my post-surgical care. He is a humble, great physician!!!

This provider I saw, Dr. Tobias, was by far the best I have seen in my entire experience with Cleveland Clinic. He was able to set me at ease, explained everything I wanted to know and showed true empathy and humanity. I can't imagine how a physician could have done more. I feel he went beyond what was just a job and should be commended.

EXCELLENT AS FAR AS DR TOBIAS GOES. Truly thrilled with Dr Tobias. Very sad that he needs to refer me to another cardiologist but trust his reasons.

He gave me two options to accept, or not. He didn't insist that I do either one when I declined. The good thing about this talk was, that I felt that he would have pressured me if he thought it was imperative that I do so. This elevated my opinion of him as a thoughtful doctor, allowing me full participation in decision making.
