Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 1/1/2020, Dr. AlHilli has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Contacting the clinic in general is typically not easy. However, I was able to contact this provider's office directly (and schedule with them), which was much more easy.

Dr Al-Hilli is truly a gem! I travel all the way from California to see her for my care and she has gone above and beyond to care for me and my condition. Not only is she very professional she was also very attentive to my needs. I know I am in good hands with her! Additionally, I was very pleased with the way she was able to preserve the natural shape of my breast when I needed to have several surgical excisions. Thank you Dr Alhilli for giving me my life back!

I really appreciate having the option to keep the doctor's appointment through the virtual meeting. This option is very helpful when it is a routine follow up and no particular tests need to be performed. It cuts down the waiting time in the waiting area significantly.

we waited for over an hour and half for the doctor to meet with us. we understand that she is really nice and spends time with her patients so that was partially why we waited for a long time. while we really appreciate her devotion to the patients, and if this is her style, maybe schedule the appointments accordingly. in other words, space out the appointment times so she does not have to feel bad about being late and we do not have to wait so long. all in all, we had a very positive experience with the entire care team and the doctor.
