Biography

About Arun Nagarajan, MD

 Arun Nagarajan, MD, is a staff oncologist at Cleveland Clinic, Weston, Florida from March 2016.  His primary clinical interest is caring for patients with gastrointestinal malignancies. His research focuses on clinical trials of new treatment options for these patients.

Dr. Nagarajan received his medical degree from University of Mysore, India. His postdoctoral training included a residency in internal medicine at Rush St Luke's in Chicago and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.

Following his fellowship he worked at Charleston Area Medical Center (David Lee Cancer Center) in Charleston, WV for 12 years from 2004 - 2016. At this institution he was one of the primary investigators for several Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) and industry sponsored clinical trials, some of the research efforts in collaboration with other institutions have been presented at national meetings. He was actively involved with education of medical students and residents.  He has published in peer reviewed journals and has been an editor for peer reviewed  journal.

He is a member of American Society of clinical oncology and American Society of hematology.
