Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Dr. Mayuga is always prepared for my visit with him by having reviewed the results of the tests he has ordered prior to our visit. It is a plus that he recalls our pass discussions and KNOWS WHO IAM!

Dr. Mayuga and team are the first ones I can actually say listened to me. The last provider I had told me to drink pedialyte and hydrate. Dr. Mayuga listened to me and what really stuck with me is he said. "I don't bandaid problems with medicine, I try to find the root cause of the problem" or something along those lines. For the last 7 months it has been try this medicine, stop this medicine, oh it's the medicine that is causing this. it was literally a sigh of relief to meet Dr. Mayuga who said, "we have to do more" Within 2 days I was having testing done, and within a few days he had one of his associates who called who told me Dr. Mayuga is referring your to Autonomic Neurology, your testing showed some abnormalities. After all the medicine and tests for the past 7 months I have dealt with, I thought I was losing my mind and it was all in my head, the constant dizziness and blood pressure issues. I just want to truly say thank you to Dr. Mayuga and team for listening to me, expressing genuine concern, and pointing me in the right direction.

Dr. Mayuga was the first doctor I've seen who knows more about POTS than I do. It was refreshing to speak to him.

Dr. Mayuga asked if I had any questions multiple times during the appointment. It was nice to know as he talked he wanted to make sure I understood and felt comfortable. Since I was not allowed to bring someone with me, he allowed me to call my mom and have her on speakerphone and he took time to answer her questions as well.

very friendly staff with a personal attention to detail. every staff person paid close attention to what you said they always had their eyes on you as a they listen to you. I was treated with total respect. my eye doctor was full of knowledge and his vocabulary and communication skills were very, very good! when he spoke on my problems he made things very clear to understand, considering the technically difficult nature of the messages to be imparted to me wer made easier to understand because dr.M was so verbally gifted. out of all of the things that I took part in or witnessed we're out of a most impressive nature and I was held in awe all day by the care and good treatment I received at Cleveland clinic! hey most positive experience!
