Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 5/28/2019, Dr. Hornacek has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. She is a very nice doctor. She always asks how I am doing. If you have a question all you have to do is ask her and she will try to answer it. She's not one of those doctors that's in and out. She treats you like a person and not a number. She is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable

this was probably the best doctor experience I've ever had at the clinic. Dr. H was extremely thorough and took the time to explain everything and give me lots of options. the associate dr (fellow? intern? I don't remember) was also very attentive.

Overall my experience was very good, the provider was a little behind, but I didn't mind because she spent the necessary time required with my follow-up care. I left feeling I got everything I required from that visit and she cared about me as a person/patient.

great experience overall, I have never had a Doctor ever explain things so well and actually show me my scans. I am completely shocked in a good way!

My appmnt w/ Dr. Hornecheck was for 3:15. I never left CC until after 5:00 pm. Obviously, I waited off and on to be seen. It seemed to take too long between nurse visit, intern exam, and then Dr. Hornecheck to arrive. She did spend time w/ me and I felt confident on her knowledge of my disease, but I feel I waited too long.

Not sure but think wait time may have been due to doctor consulting with physician I saw that morning. However no one came into the exam room or told me it would be 40 minutes. This was an unscheduled visit so the wait was understandable. Just think someone could have told me that she was consulting with other doctor.
