Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Natasha scheduled my appointments over the phone; she provides exceptional service. Raquel (msp?) at Dr. Rodriguez's office (front desk) is very diligent and helpful. She helped assist me with getting a CT scan through Cleveland Clinic's radiology department before I left for home (I live in the Chicago area).

Two of the front desk radiology department team members did not seem to know how to "fix" my issue with my insurance denial of the CT scan (denied because Cleveland Clinic forgot to provide the ordering physician's name). I had to call my insurance company, and finally Mark (?), a supervisor, seemed to get involved but then because I didn't know where he went, I went to Dr. Rodriguez's office and worked with Racquel (msp?) to put another CT scan order in STET to my insurance (who said that they would approve it). Not sure where the breakdown in communication was . . . I believe it was the scheduler who scheduled my CT scan and did not process the signed physician order properly. All in all, it worked out - thanks to Racquel who I believe talked to Mark (supervisor in Radiology department).

Had a good and thorough conversation with the provider and his assistant about my medical condition. I am very satisfied with that outcome. Follow-up and future is less clear, as they cannot predict the rate at which my condition may decline.

I have not yet seen the results of the tests taken but I am just learning how to access my records here on the computer.

Good visit. Dr. checked heart function thoroughly. Advised us to continue to see other providers. Knew and showed concern for whole health. Described symptoms that we should call him if experiencing. 911 for others.
