Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

I was very impressed with Dr. John Morren. First of all, he had read my history, almost 8 years, concerning the problem for which I was seeing him. That is unusual. His manner when testing was thorough and he explained as he tested. I would absolutely recommend Dr. John Morren.

Very personable doctor talk to you and not over you

Reviewed on Oct 1, 2021

Dr. Morren was perfect. After visiting several doctors before I saw Dr. Morren, he diagnosed my problem and ordered a treatment plan. From my initial visit in June I made significant progress. He was very detailed ordering a test because blood showed up on an MRI that the other doctors dismissed. Also, he said, "if my sister had this problem I would want it looked at". The significant word here was "sister" as he could have easily said "mother" as I am old enough to be his mother! I would call that excellent bedside manner. If I ever come across anyone with neuromuscular issues I would send them right to Dr. Morren or Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Morren is amazing!

Reviewed on Sep 22, 2021

The appointment felt rushed, and constrained by a rush to get through formulated questionnaires to some extent. I have difficulty answering multi-part questions [do you experience a, b, c, d, e, f, g, or h?] because I am not able to remember the full list of items in the list- memory Issues are one of the reasons I am seeking care. I had trouble with this appointment because of this. It would have helped me to be able to explain my symptoms outside of this format a bit more. Overall, the doctor was kind and did his best to explain things, though seemed extremely rushed and I did not understand some of the things.
