Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 11/30/2017, Dr. Preston has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Dr. Preston's nurse, Chris, is THE absolute best!!! Always has a smile on her face and is simply amazing with my kiddos. She is great at what she does, and it is apparent that she loves her job!

Dr. Preston is truly a wonderful doctor. We have complete confidence her in knowledge and opinions as a doctor. She has a wonderful bed-side manner, and our son loves her also. She is so supportive and informative to us as parents. She is able to guide us as both a doctor and a mother, and we could not be happier!!

Dr. Preston is very warm, kind, and professional. She is extraordinarily knowledgeable and is very patient in explaining the information to parents. She is always telling us about current research and findings to help answer our questions. She also always has specific recommendations for things we ask about. We always feel heard and never rushed in our conversations with her. She gives us information in a professional yet very encouraging and supportive way.

We have been receiving care from Dr. Preston for two years (with two kids) and have always been very happy with her in every way. She is absolutely an asset to the Cleveland Clinic and a wonderful representation of everything a parent hopes to find in a pediatrician. We truly appreciate that she takes care of our children.

*Dr. Preston is excellent as is her staff. CCF has issues with their central scheduling and inability to get to your direct office. Sitting on hold for 30 min. with a nurse question and to schedule an appt. is LONG! Not a provider issue but a call center problem.
